The libmodem library have a mailing list.
This discussion forum is intended to be a place where you can read announces of new libmodem versions, you can propose and discuss new libmodem features and report bugs.

The mailing list is the well known majordomo so to subscribe you have to send to majordomo@master.oasi.gpa.it an e-mail with a one-liner message body: "subscribe libmodem"

I hope this initiative will help libmodem users helping us making libmodem better.

What, why, who of libmodem.

Read the library manual page. It is a bit outdated but it should give you a good image on  how it can be used to ease the modem management in multi-modem environments.
